Bank of Palestine celebrated the opening of it’s new Regional Management building and the new branch in Ramallah on Saturday 24th February, 2007. The Governor of Ramallah and Albireh Said Abu Ali represented President Mahmoud Abbas in the opening ceremony along with Dr. George Al Abed, Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority and Dr. Hani Shawa, chairman and Genera Manager of the bank. A large number of business people and bankers were present. The new Regional Management building consists of nine floors and includes a new branch, it was built at a cost nearly USD 4 million.
Bank of Palestine owns the largest branch network in Palestine consisting of 29 branches and sub-branches.

In his welcoming speech, Dr. George Al Abed reviewed the effective role that bank of Palestine is playing in the Palestinian national economy stating that it stands as number one in branch network and number two in banking facilities and number three in total assets among all 21 banks working in Palestine The Governor of Ramallah and Albireh said Abu Ali praised the building as a uniqne architectural masterpiece in ramallah, pointing to the pioneer role of Bop in the Palestinien banking sector.

Dr. Hani Shawa started that the decision taken by the board of Directors to build our Regional Management building in Ramallah reflects our conviction to invectin Palestine.
